Like all the things that require expertise and craft, well designed phishing kits are becoming increasingly expensive. As the defences put in place by organisations and service providers are strengthening, and as users become more savvy, cheap, one-size-fits-all scams have ceased to return the same monetary gains as they used to.

While it may be worrying to see that threat actors are investing more in their tools, it is also a sign that the strive to educate the public to email security best practices and the increased accuracy of email filtering systems are paying back.
