As such, it’s vital that businesses embed security in to all aspects of their technology estates – and this applies to applications and workloads running on-premises, in a public or private cloud, or at the edge. To prepare for the new era of computing, then, infrastructure will need to be inherently secure by design. Put simply, security should never be ‘bolted on’ as an afterthought.
