Agari, the leading provider of data-driven security solutions that detect and prevent advanced email cyberthreats, today announced it has been chosen for the Online Trust Alliance (OTA) 2015 Online Trust Honor Roll for the fourth year in a row. Each year, OTA, the non-profit with the mission to enhance online trust, evaluates websites based on their dedication to consumer protection, privacy and security. This annual audit includes more than 800 sites, including the Internet Retailer 500, FDIC 100 banks, social networking companies, government agencies, as well as news media websites and leading Internet of Things solutions.

“Agari and OTA share a common mission to enhance online trust as well as protect company and brand reputation, and we are honored to be included on the Online Trust Honor Roll again this year,” said Patrick Peterson, CEO and founder of Agari. “As cyberattacks only gather in strength and severity, Agari is driven to help our customers detect threats and prevent email cyberattacks. We’re securing brands and consumers by using innovative technology to restore trust in the email channel.”

Email is the number one source of unmanaged risk in today’s enterprise and the primary vector of cyberattacks against companies and consumers. Through Agari’s work with leading companies in the technology, healthcare, financial and consumer industries and the data gained from its Email Trust Cloud, consumers are ensured protection from cyberattacks using email as the threat vector.

In its sixth year, the OTA Online Trust Audit and Honor Roll recognizes organizations that follow best practices in data security and privacy. The audit includes nearly 50 data elements, which are weighted forming a composite analysis. The report is conducted through a broad range of tools and resources from leading data providers, including Agari.

“The OTA congratulates Agari for its ongoing commitment to responsible, best practices in security, privacy and consumer protection,” said Craig Spiezle, executive director of the Online Trust Alliance. “Agari’s leadership and commitment to collaboration and data sharing have helped shape the Honor Roll and best practices benefiting consumer’s and leading commerce and banking sites worldwide.

Agari brings together customers, mail providers and technology partners to assess, visualize and protect the end-to-end email channel. By creating a level of visibility and control for managing email data in the cloud, Agari is able to create a connected community of participants working to protect and grow brand trust. Agari analyzes 6.5 billion emails every day, using the data to understand the origination of spoofed and malicious email.
