Tenable SecurityCenter Continuous View is First to Integrate Threat, Compliance and Vulnerability Management Capabilities, while Nessus Adds Cloud Management and Multi-Scanner Support

London, 12th March, 2014 –– Tenable Network Security®, Inc., the leader in real-time vulnerability and threat management, today announced it has enhanced both its leading SecurityCenter Continuous View™ (CV) enterprise platform, as well as Nessus®, with important new capabilities and features that give security teams even more power to identify threats and vulnerabilities in their networks and take faster action to resolve incidents.

As the global leader in Continuous Monitoring, Tenable is the first to integrate vulnerability, compliance and threat management through the launch of SecurityCenter Continuous View 4.8. The new version enables the ability to locate vulnerabilities with pinpoint accuracy, and then pivot from vulnerability to threat data sources for instant incident response. A new user model improves security workflows, allowing administrators to define “user owners” for monitored assets. User-specific reports and dashboards aid in forensic analysis. The new version also includes “asset of assets” modeling, which allows IT administrators to combine and organise the assets that they are tasked with monitoring, improving their analysis and response workflows.

Tenable also announced it has delivered powerful cloud management capabilities to Nessus® users, effective immediately, easing the challenge faced by departments and teams that are struggling to manage multiple scanners for different segments of their networks and remote locations. These security and compliance teams now have, as part of their subscription, the ability to control internal and external scanners from a primary scanner. Nessus customers with Nessus Perimeter Service™ are able to do so through the cloud. Nessus also introduced a new simplified view of scan findings, affected hosts, and compliance status.  With one click, users can quickly drill down on host details for that vulnerability.

“Our goal is to deliver powerful security to match organisations’ specific needs and available resources — whether through Tenable’s enterprise platform SecurityCenter™ or through new features in Nessus, the most widely-used vulnerability scanner in the world,” said Ron Gula, CEO of Tenable Network Security.  “These updates bring new power and ease-of-use to organisations of all sizes.”

Tenable SecurityCenter CV 4.8 will be generally available to customers by the end of March. For more information on the latest version of SecurityCenter CV, please visit: http://www.tenable.com/products/securitycenter-continuous-view.
