Google hire between .01% – .04% of applicants per year and they boast that they look at every single resume they receive, even if that’s over a million! They must have a very busy HR department.

In the past Google has used up to 29 interviews in the hiring process. But now, due to optimising their recruitment systems this has been lowered to between 4 and 9. Still, it must be a difficult task to ensure that the best candidates are always selected.

Google employed 2,300 people in 2002 and by 2011 the company had grown so much, there were 28,800 employees! The top salaries include, Lead Software Engineer Contractors who can earn up to a staggering $239,000 a year, whilst the Product Management Directors don’t do too badly with a salary of up to $218,000.
