Check Point Software, a cybersecurity solutions provider, has acquired Cyberint Technologies, a company specializing in external risk management solutions. This marks Check Point’s third startup acquisition within the past year.
Through this acquisition, Check Point will enhance its Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities and broaden its managed threat intelligence services, strengthening its ability to protect organizations from a broader range of threats.
According to reports, the acquisition is valued at around $200 million in shares and cash. Cyberint employs over 170 people across Israel, the USA, and Asia, and once the deal is closed, which is expected to close by the fourth quarter of this year, these employees will join Check Point.
“At Check Point, we are dedicated to staying ahead of the ever-growing threat landscape. By bringing Cyberint’s real-time exposure analysis to our Infinity Platform, we are providing our customers with proactive and actionable threat intelligence and exposure management to protect them from even more threats,” said Sharon Schusheim, Chief Services Officer at Check Point Software Technologies.
“Cyberint’s technology will expand the threat prevention capabilities of the Infinity platform. We believe Security and Risk Management (SRM) leaders responsible for security operations will derive high value from it,” she continued.
Leaked credentials and maliciously crafted fake websites are alarmingly widespread, affecting over 90% of entities today, added Yochai Corem, CEO of Cyberint. This highlights the urgent need for real-time intelligence and proactive defense strategies, which Cyberint’s technology effectively mitigates.
“We are thrilled to join the Check Point team. Integrating our solutions into the Infinity Platform will enhance our ability to protect organizations. We will offer a more comprehensive security SOC that covers internal and external threats,” Corem said.
