$3000 cyber security course for free

IT Masters and Charles Sturt University are offering, free, a six week online course designed to prepare students for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Security Certification that is comparable to other online courses that can cost up to $3800.
CISSP is an independent information security certification governed by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2. With over 88,000 holding the CISSP certification world wide, it is the cyber security industries most popular certification.

The IT Masters’ course will run over six weeks from Wednesday 17 July with lectures via weekly 90 minute webinars from 12:30 -14:00 hours AEST each Wednesday. In addition, students will be asked to do a total of 10-12 hours of study between webinars.

A range of reference materials will be made available online but it recommended that students purchase the Official (ISC)2 Guide to the CISSP CBK ($60 at Amazon). The course will culminate in a CISSP certification practice exam: a timed open book exam that students take at their own computer. Students completing the course and gaining their CISSP certification will gain a credit towards the Master of IS Security or Master of Management (IT- Security) degrees at Charles Study University.
