Vound Software, a leading global provider of e-discovery forensics solutions, have announced the appointment of industry veteran Terry Steer as Head of Global Channels and Strategic Accounts. As part of the company’s international expansion in the forensics and e-discovery marketplace, Steer will be responsible for driving global channel sales and providing customer service and marketing support to Vound’s resellers and strategic corporate, law firm, law enforcement and government accounts.

“Terry Steer has a solid track record of success at some of the world’s most respected IT companies, and we are extremely pleased to have him head our Global Channels and Strategic Accounts efforts,” said Vound CEO Peter Mercer. “Vound is quickly becoming the must-have forensic search technology for almost any investigation or e-discovery review. With Steer’s business and management capabilities helping to propel us, we look forward to a banner year in 2014.”

Steer brings to Vound 25 years of expertise in forensics, e-discovery, cybersecurity and enterprise computing. Most recently, Steer was the Regional Sales Manager for AccessData, where he oversaw forensic, e-discovery and cyber security business across Australia and New Zealand. Prior to that, Steer was the Enterprise Sales Manager at Thales E-Security, where he transitioned the business and grew it from servicing predominately the financial sector to one that took encryption technology into the general commercial market. Previously, Steer held senior business, sales and marketing positions with Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Fujitsu, Infinite IT and Matrix Storage. He began his IT career at the Australian Stock Exchange.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Vound at this important time in the company’s development,” said Steer. “Intella is used by some of the largest, data-driven corporations and government agencies around the world to help them find critical information quickly — whether it is for criminal investigations, legal e-discovery, corporate information governance or any other matter. With so many possible business and legal applications for Intella, Vound is truly an exciting company and I’m looking forward to driving the company’s continued global growth.”
