Microsoft’s mixed reality headset set to transform business

Ever imagined being able to interact with the computer pixels in front of you without a screen? Just reaching into your computer to manipulate the information and visuals you’re looking at. The Microsoft HoloLens makes this a possibility. A ‘Mixed Reality’ device, HoloLens is positioned between Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, recognising the surrounding environment and placing holograms in your world.

UK innovation studio Kazendi, was one of the first companies in the UK to start working with Microsoft’s unique HoloLens technology and will be bringing it to attendees at IP EXPO Europe 2016, the first time HoloLens has been available at a UK exhibition. Kazendi will be providing attendees with the opportunity to experience this game changing technology for themselves and find out how “mixed reality” could apply in their workplace.

HoloLens blends high-definition 3D holographic content into the physical world creating a new reality for users which can be controlled through gestures, voice commands and gaze tracking. With endless application possibilities, from product design and engineering to financial tracking and training and education, HoloLens brings products and information to life, giving companies the ability to completely overhaul daily businesses life and improve productivity by transforming the way teams work.

“At Kazendi we were lucky enough to be the first UK developer for Microsoft’s much anticipated HoloLens. We’ve had a fantastic response to the product so far, it’s so versatile that there almost seems to be no limits to the business applications we can develop HoloLens to suit,” commented Maximilian Doelle at Kazendi. “We’re going to be showcasing a number of different HoloLens applications, from 3D modelling and visualisation to shared holographic experiences.”

Bradley Maule-ffinch, Director of Strategy for IP EXPO Europe, commented: “Having HoloLens at IP EXPO Europe 2016 is going to be a great experience for our attendees, it’s really showcasing what the future of work is going to be like and for the vast majority of people this is the first opportunity they will have to get hands on with such an exciting technology. There’s already a huge amount of consumer interest in virtual reality devices, and this is the logical next step, it’s not about being in a different world it’s about enhancing the world around you, something which makes perfect business sense.”

Visit Kazendi and try HoloLens during IP EXPO Europe at ExCeL. For further information and to register for free for IP EXPO Europe 2016, please visit:http://www.ipexpoeurope.com/HoloLens. Get involved on Twitter using #IPEXPOEurope.
