The Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG), an advertising industry initiative to fight criminal activity in the digital advertising supply chain is reporting that a study released by the 614 Group shows that fraud was reduced by more than 83% for those that used the TAG Certified distribution channels for digital advertising. Chris Olson, CEO at The Media Trust commented below.
Chris Olson, CEO at The Media Trust:
“TAG’s efforts to drive transparency and accountability into the digital advertising ecosystem yield benefits to all industry participants, from brands and advertisers to media publishers and consumers at large. Participation in TAG’s certification programs for fraud, malware and piracy, serve as a great first step. In order to build a better digital ecosystem, industry providers need to communicate and build trust. This requires knowing all parties contributing to the delivery of ad and/or content for public consumption.”
