Cybersecurity Ventures has announced the first edition of the Cybersecurity 500, a directory of the 500 hottest and most innovative cybersecurity companies to watch in 2015.
The Cybersecurity 500 can be seen here:
FireEye, a cybersecurity darling tops the list of 500.
The Cybersecurity 500 is a keyword-searchable directory. Users can type in a cybersecurity term or acronym i.e. ‘malware’, ‘incident response’, ‘threat management’, ‘encryption’, ‘mobile security’ etc., and then view a list of companies who provide solutions in that category. A link to the corporate website is displayed next to each company that is listed.
The idea behind the Cybersecurity 500 is providing something useful to the CISOs and security decision makers, evaluators, and recommenders. The compilation lets them search and find specific types of solutions from the most innovative Cybersecurity companies in the industry.
The top 25 of the first edition of the Cybersecurity 500 lists notable companies including:
#12 AVG Technologies, a leading provider of anti-virus software
#13 Trend Micro, a leading provider of malware protection
#18 IBM, a leading provider of cybersecurity services
Also in the top 25 are some of the hottest movers and shakers in the cybersecurity industry including:

Cybersecurity Ventures will be publishing a new edition of the Cybersecurity 500 each month. The revised monthly editions will add new companies, change rankings, and update the company profiles.
