Brazilian hackers mistook the US space agency NASA for the country’s spy agency NSA, and hacked it in retaliation of the alleged US ‘snoop-op’ on Brazil.
Brazilian news portol Uol said that some activists decided to protest the US practice but picked the wrong target and hacked NASA’s website with a message that read, ‘Stop spying on us’ and also called on the US to not attack Syria.
Nasa spokesperson Allard Beutel confirmed the attack but said that none of the agency’s primary websites, missions or classified systems were compromised, News24 reports.
