The long standing need for shared situational awareness in infrastructure cybersecurity has created a latent tension among all stakeholders. As technical, organizational, legal and other roadblocks are lifted the adoption of such capabilities is likely to be swift and impactful.
Join the ICS ISAC for a panel discussion among industry thought leaders on the potential for adoption of information sharing networks.
Wednesday January 22nd, 2014 – 1:00-2:00pm ET

Chris Blask – ICS-ISAC Chair
Chris Blask has a career that spans the breadth of the industrial control system cybersecurity space. From humble beginnings as a control system engineer he soon saw the need for and invented one of the first commercial firewall products. Joining Cisco Systems he then led their firewall business to a position of global leadership, a legacy that continues to this day. Recognizing the need to apply Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technology to ICS cybersecurity he founded Lofty Perch, authored the first book on SIEM, and created AlienVault’s ICS Group. Today, he is actively involved with a wide range of domestic and international efforts in the cybersecurity arena.
The Industrial Control System Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ICS-ISAC) exists to bring together key critical infrastructure stakeholders to share knowledge about risks, threats and best practices. As a member-driven organization supported by valued industry partners, the Center provides a common platform where both human-to-human and machine-to-machine information sharing can be performed in a trust-based, collaborative environment.
Interested organizations, researchers, vendors, and asset owners can become a part of the ICS-ISAC at ICS-ISAC.org. For more information follow us on Twitter @ICSISAC and join the conversation using #ICSSARA plus you can join our LinkedIn Group.
