‘What 2 things are most likely to change the security industry in the next 2 years? And why?’ First of all, what will happen is a shift in perception that information security is primarily a technical issue towards the acknowledgement that technology needs to be aligned with organizational issues – if we take Snowden case as an example, obviously the NSA had all the technology in place, but apparently they were lacking clear organizational rules which would force restrictive access control to sensitive documents. Second, business side of the organizations will see more and more business benefits of information security which will, of course, make information security projects easier. But this will not happen all by itself – it will happen only when security professionals learn how to present the benefits of information security with business objectives in mind.
