Web applications are inherently insecure due to vulnerabilities that are hard to patch and easy to exploit.

The OWASP Top 10 list, published by the Open Web Application Security Project, represents a broad consensus among security professionals of the most critical web application security flaws facing today’s organizations. Unfortunately, many organizations do not understand that their applications are under attack and/or that their current network security products, like next generation firewalls, do not offer full protection for today’s threats. Next generation firewall vendors claim they protect applications but in reality today’s hackers know very well how to bypass traditional defences leaving high-value applications and data assets exposed.

Click the image below to see the full infographic that illustrates why traditional security solutions leave end-users exposed and explains how web application firewalls (WAF) and next generation firewalls (NGFW) stack up against the OWASP Top 10.
