Multi-Factor Authentication PlatformNew Version Released as One Million User Milestone Approaches

SMS PASSCODE has announced that version 8.0 of the company’s platform for multi-factor authentication has been released. For business leaders, who are becoming increasingly aware of the rising threat from hacking and tasked with minimizing risk for their organizations, the fact that more than 75% of all network breaches involve weak or stolen passwords is alarming. This highlights the importance of validating the identity of those accessing business networks and systems and user authentication is the tool to help them do this.

IT and security managers around the globe are quickly adopting multi-factor authentication to secure access with more than just a password – research from industry analysts says the market is growing by more than 15% a year.

Another factor fuelling this market growth is the growing trend of organizations replacing hardware based authentication solutions and early generation mobile-based solutions, with more modern technology.

Claus E. Kotasek, CEO of SMS PASSCODE comments : “IT and security professionals are looking for security solutions that are highly secure, cost effective and easy to maintain, as well as being convenient enough for end users to maintain security compliance. SMS PASSCODE is pioneering a new generation of more intelligent, flexible and user-centric authentication, giving organizations the power to balance strong security with ease of use and hence well-positioned to address this need in the market.”

SMS PASSCODE continues to grow at a pace above the market and later this year expect to exceed the first million users relying on SMS PASSCODE for authentication each day.

SMS PASSCODE 8.0 adds new enhancements to an already feature rich platform for multi-factor authentication. This includes: adaptive dispatch policies; dispatch plug-in modules; advanced RD web protection, and support for ADFS 3.0 protection (please find a comprehensive list below).

Kotasek confirms: “We are excited to maintain our technology leadership in this space, and continue to meet customer expectations. Which we are pleased to see reflected in our most recent customer satisfaction survey which revealed that our solution met or exceeded expectations for 99% of customers.”

Key benefits of SMS PASSCODE 8.0 include :

  • Advanced Protection for Remote Desktop Web Access on Windows Server 2012
  • Support for ADFS 3.0 protection
  • Adaptive Dispatch Policies
  • Support for LDAP directories
  • Dispatch Plugin Modules
  • Powerful integrations to popular third party tools and services
  • Enhanced RADIUS Protection with Multi-CRP support
  • Added functionality for customization of self-service website
