MOOC Continues to Grow at Record Pace, Enrolling 1,000 New Users a Day

Cybrary, the world’s first and only no-cost IT and cyber security MOOC, is launching an enterprise learning management system  to help organizations provide and manage cyber security courses and training programs for their employees.

Cybrary announced the availability of it’s new learning management system (LMS) which will enable organizations to offer and manage cyber security training programs for their employees. The greatest security threat to any organization is end users. With this new LMS, organizations can distribute a unique end-user security awareness training program designed to combat this growing threat.

“We recognize that many organizations have cyber security learning requirements which go beyond self-motivated learning, such as patches for network security or for various industry compliance requirements,” said Ryan Corey, co-founder of Cybrary. “We created our enterprise training platform so that employees can access our growing catalog of free IT and cyber security courses and content, while organizations can actively track participant progress.”

With Cybrary’s enterprise learning management system, company cyber security training initiatives can be customized by job roles within the organization. Managers can easily track the completion of classes by user, and receive reports and notifications on how employees are progressing on learning objectives. Cybrary courses are available for organizations that require different security training for industry compliances such as CAP, FISMA, ISO, DIARMF, Healthcare IT, SOX, CSCMC, SCADA, FITSI, HIPAA, and more.

Additionally, Cybrary offers an End User Security Awareness training class that can be syndicated throughout an organization.  This is a non-technical approach to patching security holes that exist in the day-to-day operations of all employees inside an organization.  End users are considered the greatest security risk to most organizations.

Cybrary is adding nearly 1,000 users each day, and now has more than 60,000 users. The company’s mission is to provide tuition-free access to high-quality technical training to anyone, anywhere, at any skill level. According to Sita, it is nearly impossible for most people to pursue a passion of learning about IT and cyber security because of the outrageous costs associated with and lack of availability of quality training.

About Cybrary.IT
