Could you explain what is meant by ’cyber security’?
The rapid pace of change in technology has provided huge opportunities for organisations to develop new business models, services, products and distribution channels. However, this has also led to an increasingly sophisticated and complex set of security challenges to protect these systems from a wide range of parties, such as criminals, terrorists, “hacktivists” and hostile states.
Cyber Security is the term for the protection of these systems or, more specifically, the collection of technologies and processes designed to protect these on-line systems, networks and data from unauthorised access, destruction or change.
