“When Apple hit the headlines 12 months ago after its iCloud service was breached and celebrities’ private images were plastered across the internet, many felt the hackers had won a major battle in the cyber security war. But one year on from ‘celebgate’, businesses and consumers have rallied in a bid to fight back and protect their personal data.

“The iCloud hack had a wide-reaching effect on attitudes to cyber security and played a pivotal role in the roll out of SMS-based 2FA. Yes, it highlighted the danger of relying on just a username and password to protect private data. But in doing so it put the wheels in motion for businesses to introduce new measures, such as 2FA, to stop brute-force attacks and make ground in the ongoing fight to keep personal data safe.”[/su_note][su_box title=”About Silvio Kutic” style=”noise” box_color=”#336588″]Sylvio KuticSilvio Kutic, founder and CEO of Infobip, earned a M.Sc. at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing.
