On January 5th 2014, the start of the New Year became a nightmare for Premium Times, a newspaper website, who faced a serious cyber-attack. Due to this attack, visitors and readers were unable to access news platform but thanks to the Premium Times team, who restored the website after they went through a continuous recovery operation.
The team of Premium Times showed gratitude to its readers and acknowledgements for being associated with the newspaper at such a critical time. The attack was against the media but it puts the destiny of democracy & civil order at stake – said Editor in Chief of Premium Times, Dapo Olorunyomi in a statement.
The chief editor also urged Nigerians to do their best to retain independent, pluralist, and ethical media.
Premium Times is a Nigerian media organization located in Abuja, whose objective is to make Nigeria’s democracy stronger and looks to move forward people’s wellbeing by encouraging and improving their cultural practice.
