Top Business Analysts in the Region to Gather in Dubai to Discuss the Economics of Big Data & Analytics

On 16-18 February this year, Caxton Group will host yet another highly interactive technology workshop in Dubai, UAE, that will focus on the security and economic challenges of data and analytics.

The theme of this year’s interactive technology workshop centers on developing a solid, data-driven decision-making procedure, organizational and operational alignment, and how industries identify big opportunities from customer and risk management.

“The timeliness of these issues at a global level is fully coming into focus over the past few years with several incidents that have taken place globally. Various industries have therefore come together to create a platform for industry operators, experts and technology providers to share knowledge on these critical issues and drive advancement on current and future issues and challenges,” Kevin Cardwell, Executive Committee Chairman and Speaker said.

The event will also host an impressive line-up of speakers from various industries such as banking and finance, retail, aviation, government agencies, and the energy and utilities sector.

On the first day, Dr. Kumar Prasoon, Group CIO for Al Safeer Group of Companies, will run a masterclass on the fuzzy nature of analytics. Among the topics that Dr. Kumar will be discussing includes the ‘Exponential Growth of Data,’ ‘Artificial Intelligence in Business Data Sets,’ and ‘Data Challenges to Real Time Business Domain.’

For the second day masterclass, Mr. Adil Belhouari, Senior Vice President/ Head of BI, Analytics, and Data Mining for Riyad Bank, will deliver a talk on Banking Intelligence and the link between Big Data and the Decision Making Process. The masterclass also covers Riyad Bank’s initiatives in big data & analytics and a case study on ‘Riyad Bank and its success stories in Business Intelligence and Analytics.’

This year’s Executive Steering Committee Chairman, Kevin Cardwell, international keynote speaker and Founder and CTO of CESI, will discuss ‘Essential Defensive Strategies to Protect Data’ and ‘Emerging Data Threats’ with the help of a series of live demonstrations. The presentations will be followed by interactive breakout sessions to discuss challenges in securing data and and to identify the potential economic benefits that big data & analytics can bring.
