IT Governance Ltd, the fast-growing cyber security services provider, has launched today an interactive online Cyber Security Self-Assessment Questionnaire which helps organisations gain a quick overview of their information security gaps.
Based on the ‘Ten Steps To Cyber Security’ (jointly published by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and CESG, the security arm of GCHQ), it examines whether companies have the appropriate measures in place for each of the ten critical information risk areas.
Alan Calder, Founder and Executive Chairman of IT Governance, says, “We developed this questionnaire in recognition of the fact that many companies, particularly small and medium size companies, struggle to identify the gaps in their organisation’s critical risk areas and determine actions to close those gaps.”
Calder adds, “We are encouraging organisations to complete this short questionnaire and more importantly, to address those areas that are problematic and can compromise the availability, integrity and confidentiality of their information.”
The questionnaire takes less than five minutes to complete and provides users with a short report on their cyber security stance. It can be accessed here: www.itgovernance.co.uk/cyber-security-questionnaire.aspx.
This questionnaire and the report can assist IT security professionals in putting a business case together for implementing tighter security controls to ensure their organisation is protected and that it meets minimum government compliance requirements.
IT Governance provides organisations with end-to-end cyber security solutions covering process, people and technology. The company is the single-source provider of everything to do with information security and compliance, from books and software tools to certified training courses and consultancy services.
