A recent survey conducted by a software industrial company indicated that a number of industrial companies are not taking cybersecurity seriously enough. The “Putting Industrial Cyber Security at the Top of the CEO Agenda” survey, that was conducted by Honeywell in collaboration with LNS Research, included responses from 130 strategic decision makers from industrial companies across North America, Europe, and other parts of the globe. Edgard Capdevielle, CEO at Nozomi Networks commented below.
“This survey highlights the urgent need for critical infrastructure operators to overhaul their cybersecurity processes and technology as soon as possible based on the variety and intensity of cyberattacks. Based on our experience, our industrial customers around the globe are cognizant of the precarious state of cybersecurity and are taking steps to leverage the advanced technologies combined with best practices to rapidly improve their ICS cybersecurity posture. They are quickly gaining visibility into their ICS networks through artificial intelligence and machine learning to employ in-depth monitoring and detection of any anomalies in their industrial systems. Moving industrial cybersecurity programs from reactive to proactive is a critical step in lowering the risk of a disruptive breach, ensuring operational reliability and plant safety.”
