Windows 10 usersSOTI MobiControl introduces support for Windows 10, enhanced support of the Apple Volume Purchase Program and Android for Work.

As enterprise mobility continues to evolve, so must the definition of devices that fall under the ability to be managed from a central console. Today, SOTI Inc., the world’s leading provider of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solutions, announces the availability of SOTI MobiControl 12.3, which provides deep device and endpoint management across mobile phones, tablets and connected peripherals such as ATMs, POS systems, elevators and wearable technologies.

SOTI MobiControl 12.3, which is available today from SOTI, is designed to provide greater device management flexibility across major operating systems. In fact, 64% of SOTI’s 15,000 global enterprise customers depend on a mixed OS environment. MobiControl 12.3 helps address this challenge with introduction of same-day support for Windows 10, as well as the integration of Apple’s Volume Purchasing Program and additional updates to Android for Work.

As organisations transform themselves by integrating mobility across all aspects of their business, the ability to perform deep device management is vital. With Microsoft’s goal of converting 1 billion devices to its newest Windows 10 operating system, SOTI is now able to align all operating systems across all devices, eliminating the need for multiple management systems across multiple device types or operating systems.

SOTI MobiControl 12.3 delivers the following benefits for businesses deploying Windows 10:

  • Disabling Wi-Fi, VPN and Cellular connectivity
  • Package Deployment – IT can deploy software and data packages to Windows devices and leverage custom scripting capability for advanced policy controls
  • Enterprise File Sync – Enterprise content can be synced seamlessly between enterprise repositories and Windows 10 devices
  • With Remote Help Desk Suite, IT administrators can initiate full remote control sessions with desktop devices (PCs, laptops) running Windows 10
  • Location Services – MobiControl’s robust location services technology is now available to locate and track Windows laptops and tablets
  • Data Collection – MobiControl can run diagnostics and collect real-time data from Windows 10 devices, including device status, location, and configurable custom data.

“We are further enabling the management of all form factors, an important criteria that must be considered for all businesses building out their mobility strategy,” SOTI CEO Carl Rodrigues said. “The ability to manage connected objects gives us the opportunity to go deeper than just device management. SOTI MobiControl 12.3 brings all of a businesses’ connected devices into the mix and can boost device security and employee productivity.”

In addition to the Windows 10 support, SOTI MobiControl 12.3 also introduces improved support for Apple’s Volume Purchasing Program, which allows organisations to purchase bulk app licenses and distribute these licenses to end user devices. This makes any business app provided to employees fully transferable and provides a convenient and scalable way of distributing paid and free App Store and Custom B2B apps to end users.

The improvements made to support Android for Work provide workers with even better access to enterprise-level applications through their devices. The introduction of support for private apps and advanced policy enforcement ensures that data and apps are always secured and managed by the administrator. SOTI MobiControl 12.3 now integrates with and supports customers with this feature enabled for their domains.

SOTI’s future is centered on broader EMM integration, including Internet of Things-enabled devices and support for the ever-expanding impact of mobility on the business needs of our customers.
