It has been reported by The Times of Israel that Iranian hackers target Israel every day, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu charged at a cybersecurity conference in Tel Aviv yesterday. “Iran attacks Israel on a daily basis,” he told a gathering of government officials, cybersecurity experts and entrepreneurs at the CyberTech conference. “We monitor these attacks, we see these attacks and we foil these attacks all the time.” In his Tuesday speech, Netanyahu also hailed Israel’s cybersecurity experience and general technology prowess, saying they created diplomatic inroads for the nation.

Similarly, Iran also blamed Israel for Cyberattacks:

Israel Barak, Chief Information Security Officer at Cybereason:

isbuzz expert 4“The “when” in the popular saying ‘its not a matter of if, but when’ a corporation or government is hacked, is as antiquated as most anti-virus products on the market today. Most nations, and corporations for that matter, are under a constant and present threat of hacking from nation states and rogue hacking groups looking to steal personal identifiable information.

Nations and corporations need to change their mindset immediately and start taking the fight to the adversaries. You can’t build a wall that is high enough or thick enough to stop hackers because they are persistent and eager to succeed. It is no longer a game of walls but a game of data and controlling your data is the key to staying out of the hacking headlines. Through threat hunting nations and corporations can control the cyber battlefield and stop hackers in their tracks. Control your data and you can control your future.”
