Network vulnerability management vendor, RandomStorm, has announced the appointment of Tony Bolland as Non Executive Director (NED). Bolland specialises in sales and management team development and in building strategic alliances and international channel sales for high-growth companies.
Bolland is experienced at leading high-growth technology companies and brings more than twenty three years’ information security industry knowledge to the role. He co-founded Vistorm Ltd., an information security and infrastructure services company that was successfully acquired by EDS in March 2008. He was co-founder and CEO of AppSense, a global leader in enterprise workplace management software and, most recently, held the position of CEO at Windows privilege management company, Avecto. He has held leadership and board positions with three of the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 companies, which identifies Britain’s private technology companies with the fastest-growing sales over a three year period.
Commenting on his appointment, Tony Bolland said, “RandomStorm is an excellent company with real focus on developing game-changing products backed by world-class support. I am looking forward to working with the management team to help them to continue to grow the company in the UK and internationally.”
The NED appointment comes just three months after RandomStorm was listed as the 21st fastest growing technology company in the Deloitte UK Fast 50. Using the Deloitte formula, the company calculated that its revenue grew by 1062% between 2009 and 2013.
To support the company’s rapid growth, in January RandomStorm opened its first London office in Bishopsgate: providing an additional base for RandomStorm’s expanding team of penetration testers and network security engineers, close to the heart of the financial sector.
RandomStorm was founded in 2007, in West Yorkshire, to provide information security products and world-class consultancy services to enterprises and SMBs. It has steadily grown its customer base of retailers; financial institutions; transport companies; utilities companies; local councils and premier league football clubs and is listed among the top three fastest-growing companies in the North of England.
Robin Hill, Sales Director and co-founder of RandomStorm commented, “We’ve been extremely successful in hiring the right combination of people who are truly passionate about maintaining security and delivering world-class products and services to our clients. The quality of our staff underpins our business and has led to its rapid growth. Tony Bolland has a strong track record of advising tech firms that have high growth potential and we are extremely excited about working with Tony to take our company to the next level.”
