“While ensuring complete end-to-end security has obviously become a high priority for services like iMessenger and WhatsApp, it’s important for organisations to ensure they are still able to meet the demands placed on them by the legal system.
“The current technology simply does not allow for any middleman to access data, including the organisation itself that owns the data. A new generation of encryption is under development that provides organisations with much more control over their data, and I believe it is vital that all companies invest in the capability to access data when required. This must be a ubiquitous standard across all forms of communication, not limited to a few select services.
“It is of course important to maintain user privacy, but enabling access to data on a case-by-case basis will create much more transparency and enable firms to comply with the law.”[/su_note][su_box title=”About Dr. Nithin Thomas” style=”noise” box_color=”#336588″]
