Consist Software Solutions, a provider of IT security and compliance solutions in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and Israel, has signed a cooperation agreement with Lieberman Software Corporation, a US-based company providing first-class IT security tools.

The agreement paves the way for Lieberman Software to expand its broad US customer base into the European market, while Consist gains access to a world-leading suite of security and compliance tools. The first step of the cooperation will concentrate on Enterprise Random Password Manager™ (ERPM), Lieberman Software’s Privileged Identity Management solution, which secures and manages super-user passwords on systems across the network including all kinds of servers, routers, switches etc. Recent compliance requirements e.g. in financial institutions call for such tools but solutions are rarely found today. Consist will both provide the Lieberman Software solution, and all related services supporting a successful implementation and operation.

“Companies regard the adherence of compliance specifications more and more as a strategic sphere of activity. We notice a raising need of companies for powerful compliance solutions and accompanying consulting and services. So, we are happy about enlarging our offer across compliance and security by starting this cooperation”, says Martin Lochte-Holtgreven, Managing Director of Consist Software Solutions in Germany.

“The need to meet regulatory compliance requirements is what drives most organizations toward implementing security solutions,“ said Calum MacLeod, VP of EMEA for Lieberman Software. “ERPM helps booth public and private enterprises resolve the all too common security and regulatory compliance problem caused by shared and default privileged account passwords. With their extensive experience in the IT services industry, Consist Software Solutions is the ideal partner to extend our privileged identity management technology to new European markets.“

About Lieberman Software

Lieberman Software released its first commercial product in 1994, but traces its roots back to 1978 when it was founded as a software consultancy. Since its inception, the company has been a profitable, management owned firm.

For years, Lieberman Software products have been the choice of organizations concerned with locating and remediating problems occurring within the IT infrastructure, where rapid and comprehensive response is crucial. For Lieberman Software customers in all major vertical markets, “weeks of work cut down to seconds” is the norm.

Lieberman Software pioneered the privileged identity management space by releasing the first product to this market in 2001. Since then, the company has regularly updated and expanded its privileged account management solution set while growing its customer base in this vibrant and emerging market. The company also develops a line of long-standing and award-winning Windows security management tools. Lieberman Software now has more than 1,200 global customers, including more than 40 percent of the Fortune 50.

Lieberman Software is a managed Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, an Oracle Gold Partner and an HP Silver Business Partner. The company also works with Cisco, Dell, Raytheon, RSA, Novell, Raytheon, IBM, VMware, ArcSight and others in varying capacities.

The company is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, maintains an office in Austin, TX and has channel partners around the world. All product development and testing operations are based in the United States.
