LONDON, UK Jan. 15, 2014 – PhishMe® Inc. today announced the appointment of Kevin Mandia to its Board of Directors. As the leading provider of immersive security behavior management, PhishMe helps enterprises improve employee resilience to and reporting of targeted phishing, malware, and drive-by attacks – the most common attack vectors used to compromise corporate and government networks today.
Mr. Mandia’s career started in the United States Air Force. He served as a computer security officer in the 7th Communications Group at the Pentagon, and later as a special agent in the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), where he worked as a cybercrime investigator. After years of consulting in the private sector, he founded Mandiant® and served as CEO prior to its billion dollar acquisition by FireEye® in December, 2013. Mandia is now FireEye’s chief operating officer. He has spent more than 20 years in information security, has been on the cover of Fortune magazine, and was recognized most recently as one of Foreign Policy’s global thinkers for 2013.
“I am excited to be joining PhishMe’s Board and lending my advice to help the company continue its remarkable growth trajectory,” said Kevin Mandia. “In today‘s adversarial environment, attackers are targeting people more so than computers. PhishMe is well positioned to not only help organizations manage their employees’ behavior towards advanced attacks, but also convert their users into active human defenders.”
“Kevin is one of the security industry’s top minds. We are honored to have him joining our Board and I look forward to tapping into his business acumen and industry knowledge as we expand our product portfolio and business operations,” said Rohyt Belani, CEO and Co-Founder, PhishMe.
