Michael Patterson, CEO at Plixer:
“The ransomware threat is growing and soon everyone will know somebody who has been directly impacted by it. Even with proper backups in place, the time required to bring systems back on-line can be substantial. Beyond routinely training employees, complete prevention of this threat is impossible. Therefore, it is very important to have system in place that allows security teams to have visibility into the traffic patterns on the network as well as rapid access to contextual forensics to identify breaches. Once the traffic patterns are isolated, security teams can quickly ascertain the end users who may also be infected.”
